Lady Shannon 2005-2012

Lady Shannon 2005-2012

It is with great sadness that we say Shannon is no longer with us.  On the evening of Saturday April 21,2012 Shannon had her last truck ride with her dad. (tissue please)

Shannon came into our lives in December of 2005, she was a 10 pound bundle of love.  I can remember it if it was yesterday, going out to pick her out and bring her home.
We went on a lovely drive out to a couple who had bread there family dog Daisy.  *Key note Daisy was the name of the miniature poodle I had when I was young.
I can remember hearing "here puppies" and all these little round pups came a running to us.  We knew that we preferred a girl but granted do we really choose a dog or do they choose us?
Well Shanners picked us, it was quit clear.  She pulled on Randy's pant leg and sat on my boot.
So it was done Shanners was ours and let the fun begin.
We put on her a red knit coat as it was cold and she was my baby now.  Her personality was shown to us quickly, Shanners loved to look out the back window.  This was her first truck ride.

When we finally came home the first thing I did was to lay her on my chest. As Morgain had made it very clear that she was now Randy's dog.  Morgain to this day would say she wasn't fond of Shanners but we know that was a fib. ;)

I guess you don't want a recap of 6.5 years of our life with Shannon.  But want I can say is Shannon was her own girly girl who loved to love and be loved.  She loved to smile and give gentle kisses.  Its still hard to believe she is not with us.

I think I can say it now......maybe it the anger coming out!
I hate the fact that your life was cut so short and this didn't need to happen.
                                                        You should not have died.

Two weeks to the day we got a call stating that the food we were feeding the girls was possibly tainted with Salmonella.  At that point I didn't know what to do..cry or be mad?  What was my options she was gone.................

After discussing this call with our vet, we have come to the conclusion that the tainted food was a probable cause.  So we now have a case number with the manufacture of the Pet food company.  A link of the recall is on our Facebook page.

Since anger does not bring Shannon back nor happiness in our lives I am using this to appreciate the gifts/talent that I have been given.
As we can't say we have no pictures of her.

When the time is right we will view pictures of her and pick 1,2,3 for a canvas on our wall.

Give you pup a hug from us, and Thank you for everyones warm thoughts.
